What is most important to you?

March 10th, 2008 by Mr. Dorrough and tagged , ,

Today we completed our look at the contributions of Islam. We picked the six things which are most important to us today and ranked them 1 - 6. We then put this ranking on a spectrum from Most important to Least important.

For our Warm up we answered these three questions:

  1. How did Muslims modify the land to adapt to the climate?
  2. What is not allowed in Islamic Art?
  3. What unified the Muslim empires?

In class we completed page 66 in our ISN.

So far in unit two we have studied the geography of Arabia, the life of Muhammad, and the teachings of Islam. Now we are going to explore how the ideas and inventions from the Islamic world during the Middle Ages traveled through out the world, and how we use them today.

For our warm up we created a study guide from the key terms and the essential questions.

In class we did The Prereading Questions for chapter ten. We also defined the key terms.
