Mr. Dorrough’s History Class

I am reading a book about the history of Latin America by Marshall C. Eakin.

In this book the author discusses the different phases of history that the area South of the US border.  This area is typically called “Latin America” because the Latin church, or Catholic Church, is the predominate religion.  The Spanish and Portuguese brought Catholicism with them when they invaded in the sixteenth century.   This area includes Mexico, Brazil, ,  Elsalvador, Cuba, and Chile and 20 other countries.
