The Reformation was a time when the religious change. The root word for “Reformation” is reform. To reform something means to change it with out throwing it away.

Today we have looked at the characteristics of Classical, Medieval, and Renaissance art.
Characteristics of Classical Art (500 BCE to 500 CE)
Venus Bathing (unknown artist) 400 C.E.
Artists valued balance and harmony
Lifelike and idealize (more perfect than real life)
Figures were nude or draped in robes
Faces were calm without emotion
Little or no sense of perspective

Our unit 6 project is to create postcards depicting daily life in Tenochitilan.
You can extend this to life in Mesoamerica during the time we have been studying.
